S Broadway Revitalization
BIG things are happening on the S Broadway Corridor from Hampden to Belleview and Broadway Collective is smack dab right in the middle of it!!! We fell in love with Englewood before it was cool and up & coming which is why we knew we wanted to hunt for office space on SOBO and make Englewood our home.
When we first started demo and reconstruction, the area was a little worn and torn. We definitely had to keep on our toes with some of the apparently well known multiple offenders of both the illegal substance use, vandalism, and break-in varieties (so many crazy stories that are best shared over a stiff cocktail or 5).
We vastly improved the interior and exterior of the building and unknowingly set a tone and vibe for our immediate area. Because we are a cowork/private office space building, we also attract solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, small businesses and satellite offices. So we are attracting and bringing in businesses and contributing to the local economy.
The City of Englewood has launched a South Broadway Revitalization Framework to engage the public in developing long-range strategies for the future of the corridor. The overall goal of the project is to engage the community in planning to make the South Broadway corridor a safe, inviting, and engaging place for people to live, work, and play while respecting the unique history and culture of the corridor.

The Framework is organized around nine key strategies: (1) Branding; (2) Safety; (3) Economic Development; (4) Redevelopment; (5) Signature event; (6) Wayfinding; (7) New city amenities; (8) Complete streets; and (9) Public art. Over the next several months, the City plans to work with members of the community to develop ideas for projects and initiatives to inform the work of each strategy.
We are so excited and dedicated to this effort that we have joined 4 of these committees and will most likely sit in on other group meetings. To learn more about the project and how to get involved, please visit the Englewood Engaged project page.
On even more of a super cool note, one of our own Collective Members, Anne Gillaspie and her company Fix & Form has partnered with Englewood to lead the branding portion of the effort. The Collective is truly an ecosphere in and of itself but is a part of our larger community of Englewood and would could not be more proud of both.
